There is nothing dirty about Dirty French

Contrary to the name, Dirty French, this restaurant tucked away in the Ludlow Hotel is pristine, spacious and very pink. As you walk in, you will be reminded of a Parisian diner with the charm of Lower East Side. Dirty French truly encompasses the best of the two greatest cities in the world. The cocktail menus are true to New York flavors- think smoky drinks and vodka with lime. Meanwhile the food is very French- think chicken basted in butter and herbs with sweet crepes. If you're looking for a slice of Paris in New York then Dirty French is the closest you will get.

The fried chicken was perfectly crisped and spiced with smoky flavors. Usually I don't like drumsticks but I ate it this time around because I couldn't get enough. The fried chicken was paired with a yogurt like sauce which complemented it well.

I hate ordering vegetables at restaurants but the haricots in butter and balsamic was came highly recommended from our waiter. I'm so glad he suggested it. Butter makes everything better-even haricots. The balsamic vinegar was a nice surprising addition that elevated the flavors of this dish. Definitely recommend this item!
