High Street on Hudson is focused on serving fresh and simple food made with the best ingredients. This West Village cafe is always busy during lunch and peak brunch hours since highlights on their menu include their egg sandwiches, pastries, their small plates and sandwiches made on house made breads. You can opt to get a full sandwich or you can eat tapas style and taste all the concoctions this restaurant has to offer varying from winter greens, kabocha hummus or a selection of bread with cultured butter with preserves. High Street has a cozy, warm and inviting feel as soon as you walk through the door. Perhaps it's the proximity to the water, the wooden tables or the industrial steel rod that runs along the walls of the restaurant but either way it's the type of feeling you want to feel on a Saturday morning. For me this restaurant is a staple in the West Village and a place I want to keep coming back to over and over again.
I am a fan of everything this menu has to offer. I think it really depends on what you're in the mood for eating but you'll be in good hands at High Street on Hudson. One suggestion is that you try one of their pastries with your coffee!
