I find it fascinating how many variations there are of Korean food. I think the cuisine is unique in the sense that it can be either traditional, barbecued or even comfort tapas. Thursday Kitchen serves Korean comfort tapas which will have you coming back on Thursday and every other day of the week to taste all of their menu. Thursday Kitchen has hit a period of instagram fame for their boozy capri sun drinks but that doesn't mean you should overlook the menu. The menu has something for meat lovers, seafood enthusiasts, vegetarians and carbo-loaders. They don't take reservations so the wait is usually between 30 minutes to an hour. I highly recommend this place for dinner dates and for a small group dinner.
1. Edamame dumpling- I've never had edamame in dumpling form and now I want it all the time. The edamame bursts into your mouth as you bite into the dumpling. I also love the combination of edamame and parmasean cheese. Who knew that worked so well?!
2. Soft shell crab- This crab was easy to pull apart and juicy. It comes with a spicy seasoning and the tomatoes give the dish a nice citrus break from all the richness.
3. Steak with sauteed kale and feta grits- The steak is cooked medium rare with a delicious soy glaze that gives the steak some crispiness. I'm not a huge kale person but the kale had a lot of flavor and a nice crunch to it. And the feta grits? It was just as good as it sounds.
